He retired from the US Coast Guard in 2012 after a distinguished, twenty-four-year career, employing superior technical knowledge and leadership in areas including Incident Management, Port State Control, U.S. and International Regulatory Compliance, Contingency Planning, and Training. Rick has been project manager for countless, high-profile oil and HAZMAT incidents. He is accomplished as both an instructor and curriculum developer in a variety of maritime studies, benefiting industry professionals in the US and overseas. Rick studied collegiately in Engineering, Geology and Business.
